THE 27 ON YOUR PLATE, European Parliament plaza, Brussels, 7 June, 2017
We successfully represented our Member, the Central Bohemia Region, at a popular annual culinary event, which took place on 7 June 2017 at the large plaza at the foot of the European Parliament building named "Solidarność 1980 Esplanade". The event was co-organised by the local authority of Brussels-Ixelles and the ambassadors of the 27 member states of the EU in Brussels.
Over several hours, culinary traditions and local specialities from all of the EU member states were presented to the public, who could sample typical dishes and regional produce in a heterogeneous musical environment. The event also provided people with an opportunity to leaf through a large range of tourist brochures, genuine invitations to discover even more of our rich continent. Czech Republic focused in particular on traditional dishes across regions as well as on rich cultural heritage which the regions offer to visitors from all over the world.

Forum for the Future of Agriculture (FFA), Brussels, 28 March, 2017
We took part in the annual Forum for the Future of Agriculture which took place in Brussels on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Its program focused on the food and environmental security agenda. The Forum is a well established premium meeting place for those who have a stake in the future of agriculture. European Commissioners, MEPs, National Government Ministers, Industry Leaders, Academics, NGOs, International Organisations, including OECD and FAO all addressed the audience and participated in the discussion. The purpose of the FFA is to stimulate open discussions on the future of European and world agriculture and to assess what should and what can be achieved over time, attaching equal weight to two challenges: food security and environmental security. The FFA Brussels is accompanied every year by regional conferences across Europe.
