Welcome to Access + eu!
Access+ EU builds the capacity of youth educators and partner organizations in working with people with disabilities, bridges the gap between youth workers and people already involved in working with disabilities, and trains youth workers. The project aims at better including youth with disabilities in future Erasmus+ training, mobilities, cooperation and projects, as well as aiming at stressing out the importance of youth work concerning inclusion of groups with fewer opportunities.
Access+ EU is a project created in the framework of Cooperation partnerships in youth. Its main goal is to allow organisations to increase the quality and relevance of their activities, to develop and reinforce their networks of partners through exchanging or developing new practices and methods as well as sharing and confronting ideas.
Access+ EU will implement in each participating country (IT, PL, ES, BA, AL) focus groups, gathering together youth workers and partners with families with professional figures in the field of disabilities in order to present surveys and ask questions. Cycles of local technical visits will allow youth workers and partner organizations having first-hand experience. Ultimately, a common training of trainers will be ambiented in Italy for youth workers with a curriculum about inclusivity of disabilities in Erasmus+ funded projects.
Erasmus + and cooperation partnerships
The primary goal of Cooperation Partnerships in Youth is to allow organisations to increase the quality and relevance of their activities, to develop and reinforce their networks of partners, to increase their capacity to operate jointly at transnational level boosting internationalisation of their activities and through exchanging or developing new practices and methods as well as sharing and confronting ideas. They aim to support the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level.
The objectives of Cooperation Partnerships in Youth are to increase quality in the work, activities and practices of organisations and institutions involved; to build capacity of organisations to work transnationally and across sectors; to address common needs and priorities in the fields of education, training, youth and sport; to enable transformation and change leading to improvements and new approaches, in proportion to the context of each organisation.

focus groups and technical visits
Access+ EU local focus groups and technical visits organized in each participating country. These occasions provide the opportunity for youth workers to visit families with disabled members, to meet professionals in the field of disabilities, to initiate a common reflection about inclusivity and to have first-hand experience to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities and to share knowledge and best practices among partners.
training for trainers
With the collection of knowledge and best practices coming from first-hand experience on technical visits and focus groups, the training of trainers aims to develop training materials to be used during the implementation of the training itself. The mobility of youth workers takes place in Italy and it aims to potentiate and empower participants in the topic of inclusivity of disabilities in Erasmus+ funded projects.
handbook
Among the newly developed training materials, a handbook as an Open Educational Resource, serves to collect best practices that are available also for a wider audience in English and in the national language of the partner countries. Take a look at the toolbox that is the result of the experiences of experts in the field of nonformal education.
